Keih Jik

So this week has been full of super good things. To start it off, we were able to go to a statue that you need to sign up 2 months in advance for. It was a super super cool pday adventure and the statue has a cool story behind it: so the story is that a being all in white came down out of the sky and gave the people like amazing teachings and stuff. So they built a huge statue for it. It sounds a lot like Jesus appearing to the Chinese people. It was just a cool insight.

Then this week we just did our normal activities so it was nothing special until last Saturday. On Saturday morning our less active, Hilary, who is now active, texts us and tells us that she needs our help. So we were kind of like, "yeah what do you need" and she said that her friend's dad past away and that Hilary shared about baptisms for the dead and her friend's family was interested in it and being baptized. So we were able to go with Hilary and teach them on Saturday night. They are a family of like 5 girls and us, Hilary, and Chi Lam (Hilary's friend who is also our investigator) all went and taught them. It was super cool. The next day they came to church and we were able to share another lesson and Hilary shared some really spiritual experiences about the book of Mormon and it went great. After I just realized how grateful I am for the good relationship we have with Hilary and her friend's family. I think that it all started out because we have just been trying to help Hilary really really closely and being her friend! It has turned into a big miracle!

Then on Sunday night we met with Chi Lam who is Hilary's friend and we were locked out of the church and Chi Lam told us that he didn't really feel comfortable sharing a lesson outside so we just decided to talk to him and get to know him more. And he has had a scary past being a part of gangs and stuff like that but he told us that he used to not like talking to the missionaries but now he really feels like we are his friends and he wants to start meeting with us more and coming to church so it turned out to be really cool!

That is pretty much all! I love you all so much!!

Week saam sahp gau

Hello!!

This week was really good! We focused on trying to develop a better relationship with out investigators so we did a lot of fun things with them. This week was also the first week with our new phones which are samsung. I have also realized how much more I like iphones than samsung hahah.

Avery: We played basketball with Avery in the chapel. This always amazes people in Hong Kong that we have an indoor basketball court with AC. People are always super surprised about it! But it was super fun and after we taught him about the Gospel of Christ and then related each part of it to basketball. It was really cool and I think Avery really liked it.

Chi Lam: We took him to the sports night that the missionaries hold every Wednesday and we played badminton! Chi Lam likes being active so this was really fun with for him and he wants to go every Wednesday night so we will keep doing that with him. But after we bore our testimonies and Chi Lam came to church with us.!

Yan Yan: We had her teach us the happy birthday song but Cantonese style and it was super fun and my companion Skyped his family and sang it to them because it was his mom's birthday so it was super cool and Yan Yan was super interested in how his mom would like it. She was unable to come to church this week because she had to take a test her professor gave to her on Sunday. But she is progressing super well!

Last week for Pday we went with Elder Siddoway to Skype our families together which was super cool to see Elder Siddoway's family as well and then after we went to this place called the toy street and it is called the toy street because there are thousands of street toy shops that are super cool!

We are also planning to make some brownies for our less active Hilary and her part member family! Hilary was super excited about this idea as well because she really wants to help her family!

That is all

Hello!

I just wanted to say happy mothers day to the best mom in the world (my mom)! Thank you for all that you have done for me! I really look up to you with all my heart!!

This week I got transfer calls and i will be staying in Yuen Long!! I am pretty happy  about it! This week we got to do a mini MTC with our ward! It was just really fun we got to pretend to do investigators and then ward members would do a role play with us! It was over all really spiritual!

I can't remember too much of what happened because I forgot my journal. I am sorry but we spent a lot of time with our less active (Hilary) and we got 3 investigators at church which was really good!

I would love to hear from all of you!

Haa low

This week has been a good week! to start it off on Monday we went to Castle Peak Beach with Elder Siddoway! It was super fun we played volley ball and people brought investigators to come play with us.

This week we also had interviews with our mission President. It is super weird to think that we are only going to have 2 more interviews with President Lam and then he goes home. I will be super sad because President Lam is one of the wisest men I have ever met. During our interview he gave me really good advice on how we could help our investigators and we did it and it worked! It is also super cool how President Lam really knows us on a personal level!

We taught YanYan this week and previously she did not want to come to church because she believed the sabbath day is on Saturday but after our interviews with President Lam she wanted to come to church with us. So she will be coming to church with us next week. YanYan is super cool. She bought us some cake and we shared a lesson on the Book of Mormon. It was really good. She really likes missionaries.

We taught Avery as well who is our investigator. We gave him a tour of our chapel and he liked it. He accepted our invitation to read the Book of Mormon every night. which is good. He is 18 years old and I wasn't expecting him to be super committed. His English is also super good. It is kind of funny because he refuses to speak to us in Chinese even though we speak to him in Chinese he just replies in English. But this one time he called us and was just speaking Chinese to us and I didn't recognize who it was because he wasn't speaking English to us and I had got so used to him speaking English to us. So I finally asked who the person was speaking to me on the phone and he said "Avery" and he laughed and I was just surprised that he wasn't speaking English to me haha.

Sunday we had stake conference. It was pretty cool. we sat with our Investigator Chi Lam and or less active Hilary! It was super good! they liked it! It was a broadcast just to Hong Kong and Taiwan and it was super cool because apostles showed pictures of people that I knew that lived in Hong Kong so it made it super special to the people in Hong Kong.

This morning a member bought dim sum for us which is a super Chinese like breakfast place. It was super good.

That is all! I'd love to hear from you all
