Happy Thanksgiving (感恩節)!

So this week has been a very good week. We had a zone thanksgiving party. Which was on Thursday and we were given 4 hours to finish preparing some food and then to eat and then if we wanted to play some games. I was assigned by Elder Siddoway to make a salad. And my companion made some potato dish from his home town. I don't know how to spell it he keeps telling me what it is and i don't sik teng it. But it was super fun! 

Then this week we met with Dor Dor and we tried to give her a baptismal date and she said she wanted to pray for it. But her problem is that when she prays she says she doesn't feel anything. We prayed with her and she still didn't feel anything and then we told her that the spirit is felt differently by everyone. But she is really trying to find out for her self. So I am not worried I have complete faith she will receive her answer. 

Vanessa is doing super well she moved her baptismal date back to December and she wants to introduce her family to us. So she is super solid!! 

We had a music night for a stake activity. and them missionaries in our zone sang a song and then. This old guy and an older sister from our ward sang a classic Chinese opera song but the funny part was that the old guy was wearing a hat that said "i heart weed" hahahaha and it had a picture of a marijuana plant on it haha. after the activity I went up and asked him how he sang so well and he was super happy and took a picture with me. and then I asked him if he liked his had and all he said was that it looks cool hahah. Vanessa came with us to this activity! She will also be singing in our ward Christmas party! She wants me to sing with her but I can't sing haha 

Nothing else much happened. It has been a pretty good week! I did get my eye report and it looks like I will have to get glasses. 

This next week I am going to go on exchanges with Elder Siddoway so that will be a fun day! He will be coming to my area. 

That is pretty much it.

Hello everyone!

This will be a shorter email haha. This week has been good. so to start it off our president is inviting every companionship to get a baptism in the month of December which is super do able and super cool! 

Another cool thing that happened is that when we were finding we happened to run into our recent convert, Lam, and she told us that we look like salesmen trying to sell our product which probably was true haha and I hate feeling like a salesmen but then the miracle is that she asked to help us find and she stopped another  form 5 student named Jane and we taught her a quick lesson of the plan of salvation. So that was cool. The pictures are below. 

Vanessa is doing great! She even sang with our wards choir for stake conference! She is super solid! and there are a few pictures with Vanessa with some filters on haha. 

That is pretty much it.

Lam的洗禮會

 大家好!!

我們的主教幫了Lam接受洗禮. 都很開心! 

This week was super great! Lam was baptized and confirmed! She was super happy. She even invited her mom and her older sister and they came to watch. Lam even wants to bring her best friend that we haven't met yet from school to church. I think that Lam is super solid! And earlier in the week when we met with her to make sure she was ready for her baptism, she brought up the fact that I lost to her in Chinese chess so she made me go find an old guy to go play with. I lost to the old guy in like three moves haha. But then a kid noticed me playing and wanted to play with me. He was like 13 and I barley beat him. But the good thing is that he might come to church with us now haha. 

We went to Disneyland last Monday!! it was super lit! Except compared to the one in California the one in Hong Kong is like 9 times smaller haha. It is super cool to go and experience it. We went with other missionaries and their recent convert worked at Disneyland so we got to go in for a super cheap discount. The rides there are pretty cool but there are a lot less rides compared to the one in California. 

Vanessa is doing super well. We met with her to teach her the Word of Wisdom. Which I was scared for because she drinks tea (just like everyone else in China) but our fellowshipper did super well helping us resolve her concerns and Vanessa is willing to keep the commandment. She wont be able to meet with us this week because she has to test in college so we might have to move back her baptismal date. But I think she can still make it. 

Other than that we have been doing really well. We have been doing a lot of finding recently. Which is good. That is pretty much it for this week.

First Week of New Transfers

This week was the first week of the new transfers! I am not moving. I am staying the same! Which I am happy about because my work in this area isn't quite done haha. 

This week has been good we met with our Lam and she passed her baptismal interview (Elder Siddoway actually gave the interview so it was fun to see him and Elder Frey)!! She has no problems and is already a member! Then after I played her in a quick game of Chinese chess because she just barely learned (which is unusual for Chinese people) and we made a bet that if she beats me then I would have to go find the old people that play Chinese chess in the parks all day and play them in a game of Chinese chess. haha I was killing her in the beginning and then I felt bad so at the end I let her beat me and she was super happy and is now very excited to watch me get my butt kicked by these old guys that are professional at Chinese chess haha. 

Vanessa is doing super well as well! We took her to the place where Hong Kong had its first baptism and taught her a lesson there. It was super dope! And she is really looking forward to being baptized. 

Today actually is my companions birthday so we are going to go to Disneyland which I am super excited about! I haven't ever been yet so i am pumped!!

On monday a family took us to a really nice place to eat and then we walked along the Kwun Tong Pier. 

 

The door with all the hearts on it has a cool story: so this young couple in our ward is super nice and super good and then for like a week straight we kept getting these spiritual impressions to do something for Yanti (the wife) and then finally one day we saw her husband and talked to him and told him about these promptings and he told us that she had a miscarriage and was super sad. So that night we put little sticky notes on her door but they caught us haha but they were super thankful and Yanti gave a super cool testimony talk about it on Sunday.
