Haa low
This week has been a good week! to start it off on Monday
we went to Castle Peak Beach with Elder Siddoway! It was super fun we
played volley ball and people brought investigators to come play with
us.
This week we also had interviews with our
mission President. It is super weird to think that we are only going to
have 2 more interviews with President Lam and then he goes home. I will
be super sad because President Lam is one of the wisest men I have ever
met. During our interview he gave me really good advice on how we could
help our investigators and we did it and it worked! It is also super
cool how President Lam really knows us on a personal level!
We taught YanYan this week and previously she did not want to come to church because she believed the sabbath day is on Saturday
but after our interviews with President Lam she wanted to come to
church with us. So she will be coming to church with us next week.
YanYan is super cool. She bought us some cake and we shared a lesson on
the Book of Mormon. It was really good. She really likes missionaries.
We
taught Avery as well who is our investigator. We gave him a tour of our
chapel and he liked it. He accepted our invitation to read the Book of
Mormon every night. which is good. He is 18 years old and I wasn't
expecting him to be super committed. His English is also super good. It
is kind of funny because he refuses to speak to us in Chinese even
though we speak to him in Chinese he just replies in English. But this
one time he called us and was just speaking Chinese to us and I didn't
recognize who it was because he wasn't speaking English to us and I had
got so used to him speaking English to us. So I finally asked who the
person was speaking to me on the phone and he said "Avery" and he
laughed and I was just surprised that he wasn't speaking English to me
haha.
Sunday
we had stake conference. It was pretty cool. we sat with our
Investigator Chi Lam and or less active Hilary! It was super good! they
liked it! It was a broadcast just to Hong Kong and Taiwan and it was
super cool because apostles showed pictures of people that I knew that
lived in Hong Kong so it made it super special to the people in Hong Kong.
This morning a member bought dim sum for us which is a super Chinese like breakfast place. It was super good.
That is all! I'd love to hear from you all
Elder Gu
Me and Douh playing some soccer and volleyball on the burning hot beach.
This is the Dim Sum place we ate at this morning.
