Angus!!

Hello!

This week was super cool. We were able to help Angus get baptized! He hasn't been meeting with us for too long but he wanted to get baptized and he has shown amazing faith through all of the lessons we taught him. It was really cool. And then I was able to give a talk at his baptism which was super cool!

This week we were able to do just a lot of more finding which was good. We need to find new people now. And we were able to meet a lot of new people.

That is pretty much all that has happened.

New Transfers

Hello,

This email will be a bit shorter. This week we got our transfer calls and I will be staying in Ngau Tau Kok with Elder Young. That surprised me because I totally thought I would be leaving. I have been here for 5 transfers and this next one will be my 6th transfer. But, I really do love the area here. So I am not mad at all I actually am really excited.

Angus will be getting baptized this coming Sunday if all goes according to plan.

That is pretty much it.

Here is Dor Dor. This other Elder is leaving to Macau so the hand signal that we are doing means the number 6 but you say it as "Luhk" and it is the same tones as this Elder's Chinese name so we have the number 6 because it is the exact sound you say for when you say his name but the characters are different.

We also took Dor Dor to the temple to do baptisms for the dead on saturday. Which she was super excited about.

你好大家

This week has been a very good week. We taught Angus the rest of the commandments and he agreed to meet with us 2 times a week. He is ready to be baptized on the 27th of January. He is super golden.

Vanessa is also super golden! We reviewed the plan of salvation with her mixed with a bit of temple work and eternal families and she really wants her family to accept the gospel. So we are trying to work with her to meet her family but not in an awkward or forceful way. I am super excited for her!

This week I was also able to go on exchanges with Elder Siddoway over in his area (Tai Wai) and it was super fun. We taught a few lessons and went to english class. But it was honestly such a good time to go do missionary work with him. It felt pretty relaxing and it made the work really fun as well.

Also another cool story of the week, I got a huge boil on the underside of my arm. I popped it every morning and night for like 4 or 5 days and squeezed so much gross puss out of it.

And the reason I put a quote from the Great Gatsby on my email is because sometimes people get too caught up in mistakes or other things that they have made in the past. That sometimes they might think they are destined for failing or falling short. But it super cool that how this Gospel can help us be filled with potential. And yes, we might fall short a few times, but it is super cool how we can always be lifted up again by the Lord and always be given a clean start.

That is all.

新年

Happy new year everyone! It is crazy how the time has gone by. It has gone by way too quick! But you gotta make the most of it. I have learned so much while I have been out here. It has been an amazing experience.

This past week we went to the temple and it was super cool because we wrote down Vanessas name on the prayer cards there and then a miracle happened. Vanessa's mom was lost in Cheung Sha Wan (not our area) and ran into two other missionaries and they helped her find her way to where she needed to go. This was a huge miracle because Vanessa said that her mom thinks the missionaries are super nice so we asked if we could meet with her mom to introduce ourselves and Vanessa said she would ask her mom because she might be more willing to now that she has actually met some missionaries.

This week we also walked around TST for our Pday with Elder Siddoway and Elder Frey. It was super cool. And we found some way sweet views of the island.

That was pretty much all interesting things for this week. I am very thankful to be out here on my mission. I have been able to see miracles in every aspect of my life which I never thought could be from the Lord but he really blesses every aspect of our lives. Even our lives back at home. But more importantly I have been able to recognize the spirit more. To me this has been a huge blessing because before my mission you would just take the spirit for granted. But the spirit is much more it is can help us discern, guide us, give us personal revelation. With out the spirit we cannot do these things. It really has been amazing to grow closer to the spirit because I have been able to accomplish things I would have never been able to accomplish.
